It’s the first day of work on a new job and you’ve been asked to
solve the new budget cut problem what is it that you need to fulfill this
duty common sense or analytical skills.You need both common sense and
analytical skills because they both work together in order to form goof
problem solving habits. Common sense is an ability that most people are born
with and can be learned by others. Common sense is basically reasoning based
on learned information due to experience. Analytical skills are skills that
can be applied to logical thinking and it is used to solve complex situations
and make articulate decisions based on visualization.
If you only choose to use one then It is very much so that something
can go over looked or unnoticed. So if If an employer is seeking for a
employee with good problem solving skills, they are looking for someone with both common sense AND
analytical skills

Present Criteria

The most important criteria for a person with good analytical skills
is being able to pay attention to detail. Analyzing is very important if you
do not pay attention to the material then you will not be able to fully
understand what the problem is therefore you won’t know the necessary precaution
you need to use in order to solve it.
The most important criteria for a person with good common sense is
being able to think logically. Common sense mainly has to do with experience
so a person with good common sense must be able to go back and relate to
these situations find out important details and information that helped solve
the problem the first time all in a timely manner.
Both of these are the two main and highest ranking criteria and
should be both used together in order to get the best out come.
Although one can argue that its possible that only one can be used,
this is not true for every situation you are better off using them together
to insure you have carefully considered everything the first time.

order to solve the problem.
Logical thinking is a skill that must be used in order to have common
sense.
The defenitions for common sense and analytical skills are not set in
stone which means that they are subject to change or defined differently by
each individual but the main key concepts remain the same. In class we agreed
that the criteria was to broad to decide one 1 defintion.
Conditions of Rebuttal: Grounds The criteria is too flexible the
definition is too diverse .

|
Analytical skills and common sense both complement each other so it
is necessary that they both are needed for good problem solving skills. A
good employee needs both skills because there is a possibility that if you
use one without another the whole situation can be turned into a problem.Some
times common sense isn’t enough you need analytical skills the back them up
they work hand in hand..
